Very nice portrait. It’s a shame the focus point seems to be more towards the nose than the eyes: the sharpness could have been better. The attitude of the girl is great though Nice work!

clean, sharp and nice DOF, I am also a hobbyist photographer from negros occidental. It seems that our blogs have the same interests.Care to exchange links? Regarding camera preference, I own a D40 too and I must say that even if the time comes that I can already afford a higher model soon, I wont sell/retire my D40. Why? 2 reasons. 1.) my first camera, so it has a sentimental value too it. 2.) I feel confident using it. It never failed me with my color preference and sharpness, specially when paired with my 50 mm F/1.8 even in manual focus. crisp!
